PCR Educator is pleased to introduce the LiveWrite API, a new module designed to simplify and automate how data is brought into the system. Built on the same SOAP framework used in our existing Web Services, the LiveWrite API enables schools and vendors to perform automated imports directly into PCR Educator, reducing manual work and improving data consistency.

What Is the LiveWrite API?

The LiveWrite API is a secure, real-time interface that allows authorized users to push data into PCR Educator programmatically. Instead of uploading spreadsheets or manually keying in information, organizations can now send structured SOAP requests to create or update records within the system.

If you are already familiar with Data Integration (covered in Web Services), which provides a standardized way to read data from PCR Educator, LiveWrite serves as its counterpart — offering a standardized way to write data back into the system.

Key Benefits

Automation of Imports: LiveWrite eliminates repetitive manual tasks by allowing systems or scripts to submit data automatically.
Improved Accuracy: Automated data submission helps reduce human error associated with manual entry or spreadsheet uploads.
Real-Time Updates: Data changes occur on a schedule you control, enabling faster workflows for admissions, enrollment, scheduling, and other operational processes.
Easy Vendor Integration: Because LiveWrite is SOAP-based, it integrates smoothly with existing systems already using SOAP or XML communication.
