Q: If openness, curiosity, and confidence in children can help them become more proficient in reading and math, how do we inspire and encourage these traits in young learners? #Waldorfeducation A: "In Waldorf education by keeping learning material relevant, hands-on and engaging, we inspire curiosity and deeper questioning. By normalizing failure and de-emphasizing grading, we inspire confidence in students who learn to see the real and varied skill sets that all humans possess." http://ow.ly/g3nf30o0xLn

While many schools adjust to the resurgence in academics that incorporate physical activity, Waldorf schools remain ahead of the curve! Our rigorous academics are enhanced with Eurythmy, outdoor nature studies, woodworking, and handwork which strength the mind-body connection required for depth of learning. #Waldorfeducation “We have forgotten what childhood should be, and if we remember back to before testing—which would be back in the ’60s, ’70s, early ’80s—if we remember back to that, children were allowed to be children.” http://ow.ly/noOu30o1puC
