PCR Educator includes five portals: parent, student, faculty, administrative staff, and alumni. Each portal surfaces the data and workflows relevant to that role from the same underlying platform. Parents see grades, billing, attendance, re-enrollment, and school communications. Students see their own academic record, course schedule, financial aid status, and assignment submissions. Faculty see rosters, grade entry, attendance tracking, and advising notes. Administrative staff have full platform access scoped to their department permissions. Alumni can update contact information, view giving history, and participate in advancement campaigns. All five portals draw from one database — there is no separate portal system to maintain or integrate.
The parent portal is included — it is not an add-on, a third-party product, or a separately licensed module. The same is true for the student, faculty, and alumni portals. Schools that have previously paid for separate parent communication platforms or family portal products have eliminated those contracts after moving to PCR. The portals are built and supported by the same team that builds the SIS, ERP, and CRM — feature updates, data connections, and security patches are released as part of the platform, not on a separate release schedule.
Yes. Each portal supports school-specific branding: logo, color scheme, typography, and custom content blocks. Schools can surface school-specific announcements, calendar feeds, links, and resource libraries through the portal CMS without developer involvement. The layout and navigation of each portal can be configured by role — a boarding school, for example, can surface room and activity schedule information in the parent portal that a day school would not need. Custom fields added to the student record in the SIS can be surfaced in the relevant portal without a development request.
Parents can complete re-enrollment contracts, submit financial aid applications, make tuition payments, set up payment plans, download billing statements, update emergency contact and medical information, sign permission forms, access the school calendar, read teacher and administrator communications, and review their student's attendance record — all from the same login. For schools using PCR's CRM for advancement, parents can also view their giving history and respond to annual fund appeals through the portal. Actions taken in the portal update the live database immediately — there is no overnight sync or manual processing step on the school's side.
All five PCR portals are responsive and designed for mobile browser access — parents, students, and faculty can access them from any device without a separate download. For schools that want a native app experience, PCR offers a white-labeled mobile application that surfaces the parent and student portal features in a dedicated iOS and Android app under the school's name and branding. The app is managed through PCR's platform — content and permissions are set in the same administrative interface used to manage the web portal. Schools do not publish or maintain the app independently.
